This is Shar Wikoff’s first year as principal, but she has been a part of the school for over twenty years: teaching at the school, serving on the school board, and having students at the school. Currently her two youngest children are in eighth and fifth grade. Shar is married to Craig and has a grown daughter, a son in high school as well as her two boys at SCS. Northern Idaho has been her home for over 23 years although she and her family lived in China for 2 years.
Shar obtained her bachelor’s degree at Northwest Nazarene College and her master’s degree at Concordia University. She has taught in a variety of settings mostly middle school and for the last 10 years in an online setting. In her most recent position, she supported K-12 teachers and administrators as an instructional coach.

Lauri has been teaching Pre-K at SCS since 2014. Before that, Lauri taught Pre-K for over 25 years in Huntington Beach, CA. She loves working with children and she knows God put her in the perfect spot to continue doing so!
Laurie's favorite part of teaching is seeing your child's growth spiritually, socially, academically and mentally during this very important year of their development. Getting them all ready for Kindergarten is her goal!
Hi my name is Kelly Osborn and I am the kindergarten teacher here at Sandpoint Christian School. I am originally from Canada and have lived in the United States since 2014. I am a mom of 4 and married to Darren a K9 officer for the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.
Before moving to the U.S. I worked as a missionary with The Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination for 8 years, serving in the province of Quebec. Main areas of ministry involved, children ministry, young adults, one on one discipleship and director of a crisis pregnancy center.
Going into teaching has been one of the most rewarding career choices I have made. I can’t emphasize enough how much I love being able to teach about God’s love to His little lambs. It is truly a privilege to journey with them academically, socially and spiritually.
“Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best.”
1st & 2nd Grade
Jenny Pierce and her husband have been teaching at SCS since 2010. Since graduating from Pensacola Christian College with a master's degree in education, in 2016 Jenny has completed her twenty-first year of teaching.
Her favorite aspect of teaching young children is their natural love for learning about God and His creation. Also, she loves to see the "light bulb" moment when students learn to read and fall in love with a good book.
3rd & 4th Grade
Amy Larsen received her Elementary Education Degree in Portland Oregon with an English to Speakers of Other Languages endorsement. She has served on the mission field in Asia and Sandpoint, Idaho. She has two children, Eli and Evie. She has earned her M.ED. in Literacy and hopes to model her passion for life-long learning, for reading and writing, for creativity, for other cultures, and, most importantly, for Jesus to her students.
In her free time, she loves to be out in nature with her husband, Nick, her two children (mentioned above), and her two dogs, Turbo and Daisy.
5th & 6th Grade
Doug was born in the Ozarks, but spent most of his life in Texas and Oklahoma. He earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Pensacola Christian College, where he met his wife Jenny. They have been happily married for nearly twenty years, and that happiness continues to increase with the passing of time. Doug has four outstanding children: Claire, Garrett, Chloe, and Mallory.
Doug is a veteran teacher of fourteen years, and has been at SCS since 2010. He is passionate about the art/science of teaching and the spiritual growth of his students.
7th & 8th Grade
Karen was born and raised in Southern California, the youngest of six children. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work, with a minor in Music, from Whitter college in Whittier, California. She received her Master's degree in Social Work from Cal State Long Beach, but found she has a true affinity for teaching, so she went back to school to obtain her California teaching credential. Karen taught at a small high school in Susanville for nine years before the Lord led her family to move to Sandpoint. She is a mother and grandmother who wishes her family lived closer so she could see them more often!
Karen loves teaching at SCS and is very excited to continue teaching 7th and 8th grades. Her goal is to make the year educational, yet still enjoyable as the students learn and grow in Christ.
My name is Kara Craemer. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. My wonderful husband, Jack, and I moved from WI to the Portland, Oregon area in 2004. We are blessed with three children- TJ, Ellie, and Ryder-who were all born in Portland where we lived for 9 years. We moved to beautiful Hope, Idaho in 2013. I have taught 3rd and 4th grades with Amy Larsen, 3-6 grade math, and 5th grade at SCS. I look forward to being a school wide resource teacher in the fall.
