News items for December, 2016:

Our Christmas celebration is coming up quickly! Come join us for a celebration of Christ’s birth!

Thursday, December 15th starting at 5:30pm here on Campus

(School will be dismissed early at noon – no aftercare)
Dinner will be served – Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, green salad, garlic bread, and for dessert, a birthday cake for Jesus! There is no cost or tickets to buy, just come and have dinner with us. Free will donations are welcome.

1. If you can donate items, please bring your donations between now and December 14th. That includes anything you are donating: gift baskets, home decor, antiques, toys, furniture, appliances, gift cards, etc. If you have a question about an item or need someone to pick up your large items, please let us know as soon as possible. A huge thank you goes out to all those who visited local businesses to ask for donations! We couldn’t do this without you!

2. Please bring in all donated homemade baked goods on Wednesday, December 14th. Cookies, cakes, pies, breads, fudge, peanut brittle, candy and any other homemade treats do really well at our auction! Make up a plate or platter or bring them in different sized ziplock bags or whatever you choose. We really appreciate any donations toward our popular bakery tables!

3. We need some volunteers to help set up tables and chairs at 12:15 on Thursday, December 15th. If you can help us, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!

5:30-7:00pm – During the dinner, a silent auction will take place in several different classrooms, so be sure to check out all the wonderful items on which to bid! Since we do not hold fundraisers where children sell products, this event is our main fundraiser for the year. Your support is truly appreciated! There will be homemade baked goods, lots of beautiful gift baskets, home decor items, golf clubs, possibly some furniture, and lots of fabulous gift cards to local businesses! Auction rooms will be closed on a staggered basis at 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45pm and items will be paid for and taken at each closing. (We apologize in advance for the inconvenience of paying separately at each room’s closing, but if you will bear with us, we want to avoid long lines and the confusion of everyone paying at the same time.) Larger items will  be auctioned off live at 6:30. With the auction finished and all items paid for and in cars before the program starts, the children and their Christmas message will be the true focus and highlight of the evening!

6:55 – Children need to meet at their designated room to get ready for the program

7:00 – Children’s Christmas Program in the Chapel

We are looking forward to celebrating the birth of Christ with you on this special night!
