I enjoy the classroom atmosphere and the students whether they are young or old. If I were to identify one thing I hope each student takes away from their interaction with me whether as a teacher or a principal it would that they each have individual talents and gifts – we should value each other’s gifts and use our own wisely to help others. It would be my desire that they know I genuinely care about and value them. I recognize that I could not possibly do what needs to be done without God sending the right people and resources and am amazed at how he accomplishes this every time without fail.
Formal Education: BS in Education – Clearwater Christian College & MEd in Education – Trinity Baptist College
Some of my favorite quotes:
God is never early; he is also never late.
Life is not about surviving the storm, but about learning how to dance in the rain.
If you do what you have always done; you will find yourself where you have always been.
Favorite books: The Bible is #1, but also anything by Rosenburg or Grisham. Life is too short..read first – eat later. Those of you who know me well understand this is all too true!
Favorite shopping destination: Amazon.com – especially since moving to Sandpoint…it’s beautiful, but shopping is a bit limited.
Favorite hobby: cooking, writing, sewing, crafting, all of these fall behind reading though
Favorite verse: Isaiah 40:31
Favorite bird: cardinals
Dog or cat….definitely dog – cats are great, but they are like noisy toys…they should live somewhere else.
Most annoying habit…losing my keys and getting names mixed up….can you say absentminded professor!
Coke or Pepsi…must be Coke…unless there is Dr. Pepper around!
I love what I do, and I love the people I have met along the way. Please let us know how SCS can be of help to you in educating your student to be the best they can be.
May your days be filled with blessing,
Katrina
