Growing Hearts, Growing Minds, Growing Futures

~Welcome to Sandpoint Christian School~

scs logo 3Greetings in the Name of the Lord!

Thank you for visiting our site! Our mission is to educate children – mind, body and spirit, for the honor and glory of Jesus Christ.

Here at Sandpoint Christian School, children from 3 years old all the way up to 8th grade can learn in a safe and loving Christian atmosphere.  Students are provided with all the teaching instruction and curriculum (traditional, not Common Core) they need to meet and exceed the Idaho State Standards for Education but at the same time, they are also provided with essential Bible teaching so that they can grow up in the knowledge of the good news of Jesus Christ!  “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

As a purely non-denominational school, we believe in teaching that God loves us and has a real plan for our lives.  We don’t get into the doctrinal differences between the various church denominations, but seek to equip students with the Bible knowledge they need to build their lives upon the solid foundation, the rock, which is Jesus.  Many of our alumni go on to college and some enter into the ministry of teaching, worship leading and mission work.

Our Association of Christian Schools, International (ACSI) Certified Christian teachers know how to make learning fun and exciting! With our small class sizes of 10-24 children per class, they are able to do lots of hands-on projects like mummifying a raw chicken to see how the Egyptians did it or building a Sumerian village out of Legos or building a cool reading loft in their classroom or creating games to summarize each lesson or turning every classroom into a different country on our annual Living History Day so the students can “travel the world.”  At the end of each year we host Extreme Science Day where every classroom is a separate science lab in which to experiment and learn about the wonders of God’s creation in the field of science.  We plan several field trips each year as well to enhance the subjects we are learning about.

Come check out our beautiful and spacious campus!  We are about 1 mile north of Walmart on Highway 95.  We share our building with Sandpoint Church of the Nazarene, even though we are non-denominational.  We are happy to give you a tour and answer any questions you may have about our school and/or Christian education.
